Why contribute to IFFAMPAC?

Large service organizations are able to mobilize resources to respond effectively to major human disasters. Their efforts have been almost miraculous in situations of over-whelming misery involving hundreds or even thousands of people. However, their very size makes them less able to respond to the needs of individual families of missing persons due to armed conflicts. Grief-stricken family members often find themselves in a legal limbo if they cannot prove the fate of the missing and therefore cannot avail themselves of governmental or other assistance to which they would otherwise be entitled. They often face severe economic as well as emotional distress and are in need of the intervention of non-governmental agencies to cope effectively with their situation.

Your donations will help to support IFFAMPAC's role as an advocate, link, and information archive for family associations and enable IFFAMPAC to create a centralized, accessible, global database of information regarding the missing and their families.

How will IFFAMPAC use contributions?

IFFAMPAC, as a charitable entity, must obtain funding through contributions to create and maintain a database of information about and to serve the needs of missing persons and their families and to fulfill its mission as an advocate, link, and information archive in the present, and to undertake future projects on behalf of member family associations. Your charitable contributions will fund administrative expenses, publicity, travel expenses, this web site, and the costs of creating and maintaining the information database. If you wish, you are welcome to dictate how you want IFFAMPAC to use your donations. Your donation is tax deductible. IFFAMPAC is a 501(c)(3) organization.
