About IFFAMPACIFFAMPAC is an international humanitarian non-governmental service organization working with family associations of missing persons to assist surviving family members in overcoming social, economic, legal and cultural obstacles resulting from armed conflict. IFFAMPAC is an advocate for family associations and a liaison between family associations. What are IFFAMPAC’s goals?
Who benefits from IFFAMPAC’s work?IFFAMPAC's focus is the family. When armed conflict occurs women frequently become the head of their households overnight. Many are not able to provide sufficiently for their families because of numerous social, legal and cultural obstacles. As a result, IFFAMPAC places particular emphasis on developing programs and projects to improve the quality of life for women and children. In its work with family associations to make certain that collected data is clarified, accurately documented, and disseminated as public information, IFFAMPAC brings international attention to the violation of human rights suffered by all surviving family members of missing persons. |
